Our Puppy Adoption Process
Welcoming Your Sugar Pine Doodles Puppy
We want every puppy—and every family—to have a thoughtful beginning. All of our puppies are raised personally in Ladera Ranch, Orange County, California, with attentive care and nearly 20 years of breeding experience.
1. Complete Your Application
Tell us about your household, lifestyle, preferred timing, and what you’re looking for in a puppy. Include any preference for a male or female, along with your interest in training or personal delivery.
2. Let’s Have a Conversation
After reviewing your application, we’ll arrange a phone conversation to answer questions and discuss which puppies or upcoming litters may be a good fit.
Please check your spam folder if you haven’t received a response within 48 hours, and feel welcome to follow up by text. An application and phone conversation are required before scheduling a visit.
3. Review Your Reservation & Payment Details
Puppy pricing and deposit requirements are determined individually and discussed privately with each family. Amounts may vary depending on the puppy, timing, training, delivery arrangements, and other circumstances specific to the placement.
Before any payment is requested, we’ll provide the puppy’s price, required deposit, applicable fees, and reservation terms in writing. Please review the agreement before submitting payment. A reservation is confirmed once the agreed requirements are completed.
Pricing and reservation requirements may change before a reservation is confirmed. Once confirmed, the written agreement governs your puppy’s price and payment terms.
We’ll also explain what your reservation includes and whether it applies to a specific puppy or a future selection.
4. Choose Your Puppy With Our Guidance
We’ll share available puppy information and help you consider personality, expected size, coat, and compatibility with your household.
As puppies grow, we learn more about their individual temperaments. Selection timing may vary by litter and family preferences. We’ll explain your selection arrangements and any response deadlines directly before you commit.
5. Finalize Your Puppy’s Selection
When you select a specific puppy and we confirm the match, full payment is due to finalize that puppy’s reservation, unless otherwise stated in your written agreement. Any deposit credited toward the purchase will be reflected in your remaining balance.
Your puppy’s price and any additional training or delivery charges will be confirmed before payment. We’ll then coordinate the next steps for your puppy’s homecoming.
6. Prepare for Homecoming
We’ll share guidance on feeding, supplies, routines, and settling in so you can feel prepared to welcome your puppy.
Photos and updates will be shared as your puppy grows, and we’ll explain how to access updates for your litter. If you’ve arranged additional training, we’ll discuss the schedule and how to continue that work at home.
Your puppy’s homecoming date will be coordinated with you based on readiness and any agreed training or travel arrangements.
7. Welcome Your New Family Member
Pickup is arranged by appointment in Ladera Ranch, California.
We also offer worldwide, white-glove puppy delivery, including dedicated time with your breeder to review your puppy’s routine and answer questions. Delivery arrangements and costs are discussed privately. International delivery depends on destination requirements and your puppy’s eligibility to travel.
Our connection doesn’t end at homecoming. We welcome your updates and questions as your puppy settles into family life.
