What is a Guardian Home?

A Guardian Home is a family that receives a top quality breeding doodle as a member of their family. At certain times during the breeding periods your doodle is returned to Sugar Pine Doodles for breeding and whelping. Outside of these times and after the guardianship term is completed, your doodle becomes your family’s forever pet.

Why Do We Offer a Guardian Home Program?

At Sugar Pine Doodles all of our doodles are family members, living with us in our home. Being committed to producing the highest quality doodles within our ability we believe all our doodles need the attention and companionship of living in a loving home. This includes raising our breeding doodles and their puppies in a home, not in a kennel situation. In order to maintain this standard and at the same time expand our breeding program, future breeding doodles will be placed in qualified guardian homes.

awesome benefits

We provide you an exceptional Australian Labradoodle that is your pet, with a firm contact agreement that we co-own the doodle. Sugar Pine Doodles maintains all breeding rights and makes choices about your doodle’s breeding mission.  If your doodle isn’t used in the breeding program, we give you an enormous discount on the initial price of the doodle.  In exchange for this, a guardian family agrees to follow the conditions set out by Sugar Pine Doodles while co-owned doodle is in our breeding program. At the end of the guardianship term, when your doodle is retired from breeding (about 5 to 8 years of age), we pay $350 for spay or neutering.
